The Massachusetts Veterans Alliance Foundation Corp was built on a simple but powerful mission: to ensure no veteran or military family is left behind. We honor the strength, service, and sacrifices of our military community by stepping in where support is needed most—always with dignity, compassion, and respect.

 Our Board of Directors is made up of 100% veterans. Their lived experience and unwavering commitment guide everything we do, ensuring our work stays grounded in purpose, integrity, and a deep understanding of the people we serve.

President – Charles “Chuck” Perenick

 

 

 

Chuck Perenick brings a wealth of leadership experience from a distinguished career spanning multiple fields. He is a retired Army Colonel, former airline pilot, safety officer, and successful restaurateur. Chuck resides on the South Shore with his wife and is a proud father of two sons currently serving in the military.

Treasurer – Charles “Chip” Law
Chip Law is a dedicated board member with a diverse background spanning military service and corporate leadership. His service in the U.S. Navy as an Operations Specialist from 1990-1994 instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and teamwork. He further honed his management skills at Fortune 500 companies, including UPS and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where he excelled in operations, logistics, and customer service. Currently, he applies his analytical skills as an insurance appraiser at a local body shop. Charles is passionate about the Massachusetts Veterans Alliance Foundation and committed to its success.

Clerk – Frank Tonini

 

 

Frank Tonini is the retired Founder and Managing Partner of a successful executive search firm he led for over 35 years. Prior to that, he built a strong foundation in Human Resources and Operations Management with major retail organizations.

A proud Vietnam Veteran, Frank remains actively engaged in supporting veterans and giving back to the community, carrying forward his lifelong commitment to leadership and service.

Vice President – Nicholas Iaiennaro

 

Nick Iaiennaro offers over four decades of expertise in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), with extensive military, government, and private sector experience. He has led EOD missions worldwide, cleared UXO from thousands of acres, responded to IED threats, and trained international forces in munitions safety. In the civilian sector, he’s overseen large-scale clearance and safety programs for former military sites and retired as a Senior VP of an international munitions disposal firm.

Officer – Joel Magrini

 

Joel Magrini

With 28 years of distinguished military service as both an enlisted soldier and an Army Officer, Joel Magrini has dedicated his life to serving his country. Following his military career, he continued his commitment to national security with 11 years as an officer with the Department of Homeland Security.

Joel holds a Master’s Degree in Interpersonal Relations and Community Development, reflecting his passion for building strong, supportive communities—especially for those who’ve served. A proud Cape Cod resident for over 35 years, Joel is a devoted advocate for veterans and is deeply committed to giving back.

He is also a widower whose personal journey has only strengthened his compassion and dedication to helping others.
